Latest Release 0.97.2

- I would remember that clamwin on nt4 is unsupported, you'll get only a minimal support by me, where possible (I only own a vm with nt4)

https://sourceforge.net/projects/clamwin/files/clamwin/0.97.2/clamwin-legacy-nt4-0.97.2.exe/download https://sourceforge.net/projects/clamwin/files/clamwin/0.97.2/clamwin-legacy-nt4-0.97.2.exe/download

if sourceforge link does not work please retry later

Normally, answer would be no. Having two active AV in your system can result in system slowdowns, instability etc. Even false or missed detections if the software disturb each other.

ClamWin however is different in that sense it has no running services or drivers, so you can use it as a seconday scanner alongside your normal AV software. You should have primary AV software from another vendor, as ClamWin does not have resident background protection.

Appreciate the work you're doing on this legacy project. Are there any updates?

You might try your current verson of ClamWin with the free, open source Clam Sentinel program in Delphi, which lets you scan with ClamWin as files are added, modified, or copied to your computer. Clam Sentinel also has its own heuristic scanner that detects malware in files for which there is no ClamWin signature. I don't know if it will work for you, but it works on Win 98. The Clam Sentinel site is at https://sourceforge.net/projects/clamsentinel/ on the web.

Regards,
