Hi all.
I've used ClamWin 0.88 for some time and it was doing fine - especially with task notificiations, scheduled updates and scans.
Then I've upgraded to 0.88.1 version - just followed the instructions from the setup program.
Virus database updating and scanning still works, but now the ClamWin will not stay in the system tray, nor does it run scheduled updates and scans.
I'm running Windows XP Pro SP1 (other applications I'm working with do not allow me to upgrade to SP2) and after upgrade to ClamWin 0.88.1 I didn't install any other application nor changed any of system settings.
Can you help me get ClamWin back to system tray and make it perform scheduled tasks?
Greetings,
P!

did you reboot after upgrading? Maybe try to uninstall it and install it again just in case some files didn't get upgraded

Are you using an Administrator account or not, when the tray icon does not show up?

after you boot up your computer look into your temp dir and locate clamwin1-4.log, it may tell why clamtray.exe did not load. Don't run any other instance fo clamwin before opening log files - it'll overwrite them

I do think I've located the problem. It's not an bug in ClamWin. It's an bug in Windows XP.

The solution is simply to wait until Windows XP has loaded somewhat complete before logging in.
