I keep encountering this set of errors after re-installing clam - I was experiencing similar problems (after a period of not using the machine) - I have looked for a solution and have an incline that I need to deelete the mirrors.dat but have no idea how to do that... - I've also tried to doundlaod the main.cvd etc... but access is blocked - I'm using winXP, firefox, and have just uninstalled Comodo - Can Anyone help

Hello, seems to be a dns problem. Check it this is of help:

the database update server is resolved to 127.0.0.1 that indeed is localhost
your dns server is filtering and blocking clamav update site
or something in your pc is configured to block that address please check:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
(open with notepad)
and see if there are other entries except localhost
(just ignore lines starting by #)
