A permission denied notice is normal during ClamWin scans. You will normally see this in a couple of Windows system files--namely hiberfile and pagefile. Sometimes you will also see it in a legitimate program or two, and there may be some others as well. It just means that the file is locked during the scan. Hiberfile and pagefile work with Windows memory, and they are always permission denied. If you run Vista, you will only see one of these--I can't recall which. Do some research inf you see perission denied in a program/file you don't know anything about.
You can set ClamWin's General Preference for infected files to Report Only, Remove (be careful) or Quarantine. The default is Report Only, and you should leave it at that--you don't want to remove important files that may have a false positive detection (not a real virus--but is similar enough to be recognized as one by ClamWin). If you get a detection, upload it to the Jotti or VirusTotal scanning services, where they will scan it for you with multiple antivirus programs. If several other AVs besides Clam say it it infected (I like to see at least 5) , it probably is a real infection and not a false positive, and you can remove it. To remove it, you can either navigate to the location shown in ClamWin's scan report and delete the file manually or temporarily set ClamWin's infected files preference to Remove or Quarantine and re-scan. ClamWin will either Remove or Quarantine as you selected. After the scan, be sure to reset the preference back to Report Only.
Every once in a while a virus will hide in the recycle bin. Try this: temporarily disable System Restore, boot into Safe Mode (F8 repeatedly upon restart), and run a scan with ClamWin. Then do a normal restart and scan again. If you stll have a problem, you need a heavier duty scanner--download the free Malwarebytes' Antimalware program and/or Dr. Web's free Cureit program and run a scan with it/them. If you need more help with this, go to the ClamWin Antimalware page, accessable from the main ClamWin web page.
