Hello,
I suggest to upload your file to www.virustotal.com, a free service where suspect files are submitted to multiple AV scans. If more than 3 or 4 av (especially the most renowned ones: Kaspersky, AVG, Avira, Avast...) detect the file as infected it is likely to be a real threat. Then set clamwin scanning preferences to Quarantine and relaunch the scan so the file will be moved to quarantine (after thaty I suggest to reset scan preference to report only, which is the default option). If problem with internet browsing persists download the free Dr Web's cure it on your desktop (https://www.freedrweb.com/download+cureit/) and launch it. It should be able to fix the problem. In case virustotal report says only Clam finds infection then this is a false positive: kindly notify clam team using the form @ https://cgi.clamav.net/sendvirus.cgi and tick the relevant block related to false positive. Normally they fix the issue in a couple fo days so the infection will not show anymore on furthe scans. As Clamwin is only an on demand scanner I recommend to integrate it with a real time scanner (AVG, Avira, Avast have free versions for personale & non commercial use), thus to have always a 'secon opinion' available on files that clamwin finds suspect. Hope this helps, Antonio |
