Clamwin is quarantining the GoogleDesktopCommon.dll. If I reinstall Google Desktop with a fresh download from Google it fixes it for a day. When the full scan runs on schedule at night, it breaks it again. Is this a false positive? If so, is a fix in the works? Thanks to anyone who can answer.

thanks for reporting it. Could you please submit the file here:
https://cgi.clamav.net/sendvirus.cgi and mark it as False Positive.
ClamAV team will remove it promptly. Before it is removed you may add the full path to the file to the exclusion filters
