I've installed ClamWin on three systems. They are servers at three locations in a restaurant chain, with the same application set at all locations.
System 1: 2 GHz P4, 2 GB RAM, Windows 2000 Server
System 2: 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, 1 GB RAM, Windows 2003 Server
System 3: 2.8 GHz Xeon, 512 MB RAM,Windows 2003 Server
I've configured them to scan only C:\, which has the OS and two primary applications. Systems 1 and 2 scan in about 30 minutes. System 3 took 109 minutes the first time, and the time is growing. The last complete scan took just shy of 4 hours. I stopped this mornings' scan after it exceeded 5 hours.
System 3 is due for a memory upgrade in any case, and that could certainly explain why it would take longer than the other two. But why does the time keep growing? Is this expected behavior? If I add RAM can I expect more reasonable scan times?
