It is probably not related unless it is an update version of the virus--since some time has passed now. Most viruses are frequently updated now--and they may even be distributed to a limited number of users, which enables them to last longer before the AV companes get a signature.
ClamWin now has protection against a quarantine of "clean" Windows system files and at least some other Microsoft files as well. You should always use the latest version of ClamWin (currently .97.6) to make sure that you have the latest detection features and minimize false positive detections. The latest version is always available from the main ClamWin web page. Also, if you have not looked into the Clam Sentinel program on Source Forge, check it out. It lets you use ClamWin as a resident scanner that scans files with ClamWin as they are added, modified, or copied to your computer. Clam Sentinel also has its own heuristic scanner to detect malware for which there is no ClamWin signature. Thank you for using ClamWin! Regards, |
