I want to know whether ClamWin at all scans the memory and/or registry and/or bootsectors for viruses/trojans/spyware?
If not, are either of these being worked on for later releases?
I know that work is being done for on-access scans but the memory/registry/bootsectors issue makes ClamWin still not a fullgrown anti-virus/trojan/spyware product so for the time being one needs to complement with other software for these issues.
PS. Please note that I wrote bootsectors and not bootsector since ALL bootsectors should be checked regardless if they can be booted in the current configuration, because the program cannot know if I for instance have a disk which will replace the primary disk as-is if it fails, so if the program ignores the bootsector of the replacement disk and it is infected that may be a future problem even if it currently is not.
Thanks,
