I have looked through the manual and can find answers to the following:
1. Is it possible to do a memory scan when we start wintray? On startup of clmwin in any way do a scan automatically? I dont' want to loose the ability to receive emails if the files are infected.

the only way to run a memory scan with clamwin interface automatically is to use a scheduler. Alternatively you may use clamscan.exe, see clamscan.exe --help for options.

2. If a scheduled scan is missed because a computer is off when the system starts does it run?

No. Database updates will run if missed but not scheduled scans. Most users would not want it
