I have the admin setup to move the files to USB drive that I don't scan. And although it finds files from time to time (often false postive emails on my email server) it NEVER moves them to were I have it setup!!!?? Even after restarts.

Is this feature on for on demand scans or loaded processes or does it work for nightly scans I create of my C:\?

Use latest version as of writing...

clamwin will not move/remove mailboxes even if it finds a virus, this because it would remove an entire mailbox instead of the infected message

Why it would it consider a file with the *.eml extension an entire mailbox? This is simply one file that it has found in a directory on my C: drive? I'm not understanding the logic or how such a low tech scanner could make any assumptions about the location??!?

Do your have your Infected Files preference set to Remove or Quarantine, or is still set at the default of Report Only?
It should Report, Remove or Quarantine ordinary (non-email box) files if they are infected, depending upon the preference you have set.

GB,

I have the infected files moved to a folder on my desktop so I can then upload them to one of the online checkers to verify the results. Thing is nothing is getting moved. These files are in fact in mailboxes of my hmailserver. For some reason hmailserver is also not deleting the files as expected! Now I need to bug them and solve that issue and I won't have to have Clamwin find them.

I wish clamwin would have an exclude folder option!

You can exclude folders in ClamWin's Filters for Exclude Matching Filenames. Here's how I exclude a folder that contains malware I'm working on: C:\Malware\* in my filters. This is just a normal file folder, however, I don't know how it would work in a mailbox environment. You might try it, anyway.

thanks GB, missed that folders/drives could be excluded. Don't think I saw it in the documentation! Rolling Eyes
