Hi,
When ClamWin is invoked from the command line it loads main.cld from disk every time ( This is scanning email automatically from Desknow)
main.cld is a very big file and using filemon it is a heavy resourse on the Hard Disks of the server, especially when more than 1 attachment is being scanned on different threads so main.cld is loaded multiple times.
Has anyone else come across this and is there a solution to it.
My solution to this is going to be installing another hard drive in addition to the SATA Raid set precisely for files like this which wouldn't be missed if the HD went pop. Other uses for a single non-Raid drive are Windows\Temp and other temporary files.
Another solution is to use a RAMDrive, although there does not seem to be a commercially viable product for my purpose, and Microsoft have disontinued support for RAMDrive.sys
I would appreciate thoughts on the subject.
