I tried running ClamWin as an administrator and the scan still failed until I upgraded to the 0.93.3 debug release.

I have the new .94 version with Vista Ultimate Sp1. It's obviously a vista related problem because when I scan my external hd it works perfectly. I have tried running as an admin and running in compatibility with XP sp2. The one error I am getting is

"This application has failed to start because MSIMG32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

When I had .93 I also had the same problems with the scan in the previous posts. The blank reports and crashing of clamwin when it scanned my system32 folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Omega,

My problems of crashing with Vista disappeared as soon as I installed the 0.93.1 debug version. Anyway I downloaded and installed 0.94 and tested with a full C: scan which was run as administrator. Apart from notifying of a set of files locked by OS ('permission denied' is displayed) scan was carrried out completely and correctly.
I guess your problems are related to the corrupted or missing dll file.
You can download it from https://www.dll-files.com, then unpack and put in your system32 folder. Hopefully it will fix the problem.

Come back to the forum after your tests, developers need as much Vista users reports as possible.

Regards,
Antonio
