Weird ClamWin problem

I just installed ClamWin on my PC and I cannot get it to start. I go to the start menu entry and attempt to start it and nothing happens. When I try to run clamscan.exe from a command shell I get the error that the directory /usr/local/share/clamav can't be opened. I have cygwin installed, and I see that the cygwin dlls are installed with clamwin. I am running Windows Media Center 2005. Anybody have any ideas? I've looked through the forums and FAQ and can't seem to find anything that deals with this question. I need to figure out what's going on because I'm having some seriously weird problems with my computer and I think I may have a virus (I previously had McAfee installed, but it was being an awful resource hog and had to be put to death). I tried using the INSERT live linux distro but couldn't figure out how to get it to scan a RAID level 0 ntfs array. If anybody knows of a live distro that will deal with an NTFS array that'd be just as helpful--I just need to scan this disc to see what the hell is happening.
Thanks in advance to anyone with ANY suggestions.

clamwin not starting is probably related to python problems. Check clamwin1.log-clamwin4.log found in your temp dir immediately after you attempt to start clamwin. Thses log files should tell you why did it not start.

to use clamscan.exe on command line you need to speciffy database directory, refer to the help-advanced operations for more info.

Thanks for passing on where the log files were located; however, I can't really make heads or tails of it. The log file is:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "ClamWin.py", line 29, in ?
File "wxPython\wx.pyo", line 30, in ?
ValueError: bad marshal data
I thought perhaps it was a python problem, so I went and reinstalled python, the python windows extensions and wxpython; however, that didn't change anything. I got a command-line scan going, but I'd like to get this thing working; it'd be nice to say goodbye to norton and mcafee (which both tend to be resource hogs on this machine)

try to remove wxputhon and see what happens, clamwin usesd wxpython 2.5 and it may be conflicting with the newer version you got
