I just downloaded clamwin today. I did a memory scan, and it found mIRC as riskware and killed the process. I've since added mirc.exe to the exceptions list, but when I scanned the memory again, mIRC was terminated again. How do I fix this? :/

you can either disable "Detect Potentially Unwanted Applications" in "Advanced" settings tab or untick "Unload Infected Programs" in "General" settings tab.
if you didn't have "Detect Potentially Unwanted Applications" enabled and mirc was detected as a virus, then you may submit it as a false positive. This FAQ explains how:

exclusion list in memory scanner is a planned feature, dunno if it will be in 0.93
