It appears that all we have to do in order to eliminate annoying messages from Windows Security Center, is to write a WMI provider that lets Security Center know that there is, indeed, a virus scanner on the system. Perhaps this could be a mini-feature in the C++/C# conversion plan?
MSDN Magazine has an intro article to see if this would be fun: Say Goodbye to Quirky APIs: Building a WMI Provider to Expose Your Object Info https://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/0500/wmiprov/default.aspx https://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/0500/wmiprov/default.aspx
