This is the info on your site:
Please note that ClamWin Free Antivirus does not include an on-access real-time scanner. You need to manually scan a file in order to detect a virus or spyware.
If ClamWin is ONLY an on demand scanner then why is it running at startup and in the system tray, using up resources that aren't needed? I don't get the point of this if it's an on demand scanner is all, not real time protection.
I noticed ClamTray in msconfig, so I'll just uncheck this for now, but I hope that in a future version That the ClamWin Dev team will please add in an option to disable it from running at startup.
THANKS

the topic has been discussed here before. ClamTray displays notifications, updates virus database and runs the schedules. Therefore we consider it an essential component that needs to be loaded at startup.
