I don't have much need to a permanently active virus scanner so I love Clamwin. I don't like having to wait 5 minutes every blue moon when I need Clamwin to update definitions, so I'd live a command line option to update and exit so I can schedule it every night to update it's definitions and exit. Then when I need it to scan a suspect file I can just scan and go on about my business.

I have configured ClamWin for automatic signature defitintion updates, but every hour is too often unless you are using it on a mail server or other production environment, and daily/weekly/week day updates are not often enough. I would settle for several updates a day--say every four hours or so. Since ClamWin is presently an on-demand scanner, you don't really need updates until just before you scan.
