Hi,
We would like to receive virus notifications when viruses are found with Clamwin so I tried to set it up but the Send Test Email function does not test OK. All parameters appear correct. We try to send a note from an account on the mailserver on which clamwin runs using port 25 to an outsourced email account. We get the following error:
'Could not send the email. Please ensure you are connected to the internet. Error (535: 'Authentication failed. Restarting the authentication process.')
I verified the user and password were correct. I could ping the mail.domain.us referenced in the smtp field.
I would appreciate your help.
Mike

Are you sure you need a username and password ? Most smtp servers don't use authentication for sending email.
