I ran a scan and a virus was identified. I hope this question is not too elementry.......what the hell do you now? I created a file on my desktop to move the the file to, OK it seems to only move the text telling you, you have a virus.
Can someone step me through the deletion process, in other words how do you purge your system of the little bug?
Thanks,

I recommend you set the clamwin configuration so it automatically moves files to the quarantine folder. In the ClamWin configuration on the General tab, you select "Move to quarantine folder" to do that. Also check the box "Unload Infected files from Computer Memory".
Then scan the file again and clamwin will try to move the infected file.
Once the file is moved there, it should be harmless. You can then open the folder and upload it to virustotal.com to check it against different scanners, and if it turns out to be malware, you can delete it.
