Hi,
at first, the "feature request" forum is locked (no more features allowed? ;)).
It whould be really nice to exclude scanning directories via gui.
Strange Story: iam running clamwin on a win2k server, scanning "C:\" every $T-Time, and storing
virues in "C:\Quarantaine". However, nobody looks on the server and after some time clamwin founds the viruses in the quarantine directory again and again.
At the end there are more then 300k files of a large size in this directory (its nearly impossible to browse in this directory),
the drive of the server was full and the server stop doing what he should do (eg. storing emails).
I know (after this happens) that there are some --command-line options.
But in the gui (for the scheduled scan) it whould be nice to specifiy exclude directorys.
OR:>
Whouldnt it be nice that clamwin is a bit clever and dont scan its quarantaine directory?
Greatings,
Ralf

That's a good feature, and most AV software lets you exclude what you want from their scans.
I might be wrong, but didn't they change ClamWin so that infected files have a unique extension? If so, then you could exclude that extension (*.extension) in your ClamWin filter preferences. That might help for now.
