Clam AV 0.101 and 0.102 end of life is January 3, 2022. As you may know, Clam has adopted a policy to force users to keep up to date by ending the life of older versions, and they don't have to be too old either. EOL versions can no longer get virus database updates at the least, and they may not even be able to run. Check the EOL policy at the Clam AV web site and/or blog for full information.

Since ClamWin is dependent upon Clam AV, it behooves ClamWin users to use the latest version, so please do so.

I'm having the same problem. I have ClamWin Local version: 0.103.2 which says ClamAV
There is no way to update ClamWin to 0.103.5. Only the out of date version is at the ClamWin site.

When I click on the link for an explanation it goes to ClamAV to install. I do not want to
use ClamAV. I tried ClamAV in the past, when it was not possible to update ClamWin.
But it does not replace ClamWin and wanted more control of my computer than I wanted
it to have. I had to uninstall it. I simply want to be able to use ClamWin to manually check files.

Since it was possible to reinstall ClamWin which reports using the ClamAV engine I'm guessing
that ClamWin 0.103.2 included the ClamAV engine.


I recall something in the past that told us how to replace the ClamWin engine with the
ClamAV engine. so that ClamWin is updated.

Does anyone have instructions for exactly what files to replace in ClamWin with
files from ClamAV 0.103.5, and if there are any special configurations that are
also needed?

The version of ClamWin that is available for download on the ClamWin web site, 103.3.1, is the latest official version of ClamWin. It has not yet reached the End Of Life. When it does, the ClamWin developers will prepare a Windows port of the latest version of the Clam AV Linux scan engine at that time. ClamWin and Clam AV are entirely different programs.
