Error 142 basically states that clamscan.exe was unable to start .....error 142
It runs fine on my system. This message always appears when shutting down machine. I've uninstalled and reinstalled software -still the same thing happens.
There are no scheduled scans.
Updates fine.
Scans fine when needed.
How do I fix this error?

How long has this been going on? Was there a time when you did not have this error? Have you recently installed any software that might be causing the problem? Or did it start after a Microsoft Windows patch?
