Hi,

1st time poster. I'm rebuilding Joomla website that was badly hacked. I want to replace every file on the site per recommendations.

Problem: I have several hundred png/jpeg files which are not replaceable. Clamscan says no infections in any of these.

My question then, will I be taking false comfort in accepting these results? Is there anything else I can do w/these image files to gain some certainty?

I'm running this on my local machine, Debian 8.

If you are running Clam AV for Linux, we can't provide any help. This forum is dedicated to ClamWin, which uses a Windows port of Clam AV and the
Clam AV signatures. Contact the Clam AV project for assistance.

At any rate, you should scan those files with another AV for some added certainty.

Regards,
