Hi,

i have Server 2008 r2 and Office 2010 on a remotedesktop Server.

even locally logged in as admin i can't activate the clamwin Add-In in Outlook 2010.

it's remain always inactive.

Outlook says in the COM-Add-Ins configuration window:
Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\ClamWin\bin\OlAddin.exe /Automate
Not loaded. During starting a runtime error has occurred.

On the command console i can run "C:\Program Files (x86)\ClamWin\bin\OlAddin.exe" /Automate - nothing happens.

any help would be welcome.

best regards, Reinhard.

There should be OlAddin.log file in C:\Program Files (x86)\ClamWin\bin\ folder
Also are you using 32 or 64 bit office?

Hi Alch,

microsoft office 2010 is 32 bit (on 64 bit server)

there is no log file in the folder.

probably OlAddin.exe has never been started for safety reasons.
if i activate it and check then the setting again, it is inactive again.

Another possibility is hardware Data Execution Prevention (DEP) which sometimes stops the addin
It can be disabled in BIOS to test the assumption
