ClamWin Doesn't Integrate Into Outlook

I've searched through all the posts about ClamWin integration into Outlook and none of them answers my problem.

I have Outlook 2003 installed on a Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 PC. When I installed ClamWin, I checked the option for Outlook and Windows Explorer integration. The Windows Explorer integration has worked, but the Outlook one hasn't. I have even tried uninstalling it, rebooting, and reinstalling it with no benefit. As others have posted, there is no About ClamWin in the Outlook Help menu. I have even tried sending the EICAR test file from Outlook (after acknowledging the warning message) and it gets sent fine. My work email anti-virus picked it up. Any other suggestions as to what I can try.

I also have a question on integrating it with MailMarshal, but will post that separately.

Did you put a checkmark in the Scan Incoming/Scan Outgoing email in ClamWin's Email Scanning configuration tab?

Regards,

Checked the option during the installation and double checked it was there after the installation in the config tab.

I don't know why you posted my previous answer to a user in your submission, but I erased it for clarity.

Mailman is probably out. The ClamWin developers are not doing much in the way of improving ClamWin other than integrating new Clam AV Linux verson source code into the source code for ClamWin. Other new development other than that has basically been stopped. ClamWin is a free, open source program and budget and time is limited.

I will inform the developers of your probjem and see if they can help.

Regards

I informed the 2 ClamWin developers of your problem by email. They very seldom answer any more, and they very seldom devote any time/effort to ClamWin. The primary developer is in Australia, and the other one is in Italy. Looks like you are on your own, and I recommend that you get another AV to replace ClamWin--a real-time one. It's getting hard to find a free one now. You might want to look at Loki or Thor Lite if they are available for your computer(s).

I'm personally using a Linux computer with Clam AV now.
