Yes, you can download the ClamWin virus signatures from one computer and copy them to another computer. The virus signatures are located in the C:\ProgramData\.clamwin\db folder in computers running Windows 7 and up operating systems. There are 4 files, and you can copy and then paste them to the same folder on another computer.

Now, the question is why the other computer can not download the signatures.

Thank you for using ClamWin! Remember that the ClamWin developers recommend ClamWin be used as a backup scanner to a real-time antivirus such as Windows Defender.

The sense of safety and security is very important and necessary as well. In our real and virtual life as well we need a sense of security and privacy. We can have a safe environment by hiring security forces or installing CCTVs in our real-life scenario

If I were you I would use Microsoft Windows Defender. It is built-in to Windows computers and does not give any problems. ClamWin is a backup scanner to your primary antivirus program and is actually for experienced users.

Windows 7 and below is no longer supported by Microsoft and UNSAFE to use. If you are still running Windows 7 with a LEGIT license, you can obtain a free upgrade to Windows 10 by using the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant from Microsoft. They have been very generous in continuing to allow users to upgrade from Windows 7 at no charge. Do this upgrade AFTER your system has been cleaned of malware. A system image backup is highly recommended before starting this process. This backup can be performed to an external hard drive with the Backup & Restore tool located in the Control Panel on Windows 7 and up.

Thanks for using ClamWin. It is an "on demand" scanner that only scans when you do a manual scan or when you have a scheduled scan. It is only updated about once or twice a year. The ClamWin developers recommend that you use it as a backup scanner to a "real time" scanner that scans as you use your computer on the world wide web. Microsoft's Windows Defender is a good real-time scanner and it comes with the Windows operating system.
