Hello,

Is there any tools that can view the clamav database content locally?

Thanks in advanced.

The sigs are in a special format (similar to CVD, I believe). Here are some of my notes in connection with working sigs to find a false positive sig already in the main DB--they may be useful to you. You can do the daily DB the same way. I have done this a couple of times and it works. Hope it helps.

1- grab main.cvd file - insert it into ClamWin/bin directory
2- Go to Command prompt and unpack it using "sigtool --unpack main.cvd" Main.cvd will have sections for each sig type
3- locate the file for the section that contains your sig type (Mdb, Ndb, Hdb, etc.)
4- Import file into Excel--insert a line no. column to the extreme left of the spreadsheet and FIND the sig

Regards,
