Hi

I have installed clamwin on two Pcs and for about two weeks everything was fine
the program would update itself and also carry out a full scan at the predefined time every day

However I noticed from the update logs that the program was not able to contact the updateserver anymore

here is some of the output

Then I realised I could download the daily update file myself from here

database.clamav.net/daily.cvd

This also worked for a few days but now all I get is this from my browser



Address Not Found

Firefox can't find the server at database.clamav.net.


so I searched around looking for a solution but no luck whatsoever

I decided to relucantly remove clamwin but then I found out about proxy.org
and decided to try getting the update file through here and guess what.....

I GOT the update file so can someone please explain whats wrong with my pcs I scan them every day and I have checked and recheked the settings.

I think you got a dns problem, are you able to go to others sites, www.clamav.net www.clamwin.com?
