Hello, I live in Russia. What must I do to translate ClamWin interface to my own language? Sorry, I can't find budtse's e-mail at users.sourceforge.net.

I am currently doing the translation of Clamwin in italian language. Here below the instructions I got from budtse:

For the translation you would only need a copy op PoEdit (which is open-source), and the localization files for italian. You can find a description on how to do this here : http://wiki.clamwin.com/index.php/Localization.

To update the localization branch to the newest version however, you would need to set up a build environment. I don't know if you are familiar with Python, C++ and ClamAV in general, but you can find a description on how to setup the dev environment here : http://wiki.clamwin.com/index.php/Building_ClamWin.


Unfortunately I cannot provide further help; since I am not at all familiar with programming I am just taking care about the Italian translation.

Sorry, but I not familiar with programming on C++ too And I can help to ClamWin only as foreigh language carrier... If I right understand, Budtse tell me, what they developing now a new version of ClamWin, therefore, localization of old version is not very useful work, and he has no time to do it. Maybe, if we wait some days, the problem will solved automatically?

I started setting up a new development environment, maybe i'll get to do some work on localization this weekend or the next.

Budtse, sorry, what about Russian localization of new version of ClamWin? Do you prepare it to translators? (i am only advanced user, and only translating of programm messages, menu and help without program compillation will be more suitable for me)
