The localized version of ClamWin is coming. It does need some bugfixing, and we want to upgrade the code to the newest versions of Python/wxPython before we release it, but it is possible to translate the program into your own language and use the translation in the test build.

The tools we use are:
* PoEdit for the translation of the application
* Any Unicode text editor for the translation of the Inno Setup installer
* OpenOffice for translation of the manual and help file

These tools are open source and available to everyone, so you can start right away! You translate, we do the rest.

Hello,
i am looking for german translation of clamwin program and manual.
But i found no real thing.
I find in repository a language file locale\de_DE.po.
But this file refers to version 0.88.6 dated about year 2008
whereas actual program version is 0.99.1 at start of year 2017.
Exist a newer version of this file and will a german translation of clamwin come in near future.

I am willing to do some translation for german,
but the mentioned URL to TranslationGuide seems to be dead and
source files seems to be outdated.
So can somebody give me some actual starting instructions.

The translatiions you ran across are the latest ones. There hasn't been much activity in the translations for a long time now. If you can help, it will be appreciated.

You might try to send the ClamWin developers a message re: translation via the Contacts menu item on the main ClamWin web page.

You can also search on the ClamWin forums for posts relating to "translation" or "translation help" or something similar.
