Log file not getting updated

Hello Everyone,

It seems my logfile (Clamwinupdate.txt )is not getting updated when I execute freshclam from the cmd prompt.
Any ideas as to what the problem may be? I have a Freshclam.conf in my BIN folder with the following:
DatabaseMirrir database.clamav.net
DNSDatabaseInfo current.cvd.clamav,net

Freshclam execute's correctly, however the log file shows no activity. If I execute the updates from the clamwin Icon in the taskbar, the Log does get updated. I have checked throughout the Forum and cannot find any suggestions.

ok,

I added this to the Freshclam.conf file:

UpdateLog File c:\documents and settings\all users\.clamwin\log\clamupdatelog.txt

However, this still does not update the log file. I am lost, any ideas?

what is your command line to run freshclam.exe?

Hello Alch,

Ok, the whole object here, is to allow my Deep Freeze Software to automatically submit a Clam Win Batch that will update the DB, which I am having no success. This software has a maintenance mode that can update Windows updates and submit batch jobs. I then decide to see if I can get tot call Freshclam from a copmmand prompt. I set up the above Freshclam.conf, I then go to a windows 2000 cmd Pormpt, change directory to c:\program files\clamwin\bin and just type in freshclam on the command line. The Cvd and daily files seesm to get updated, however my clamwinupdatelog.txt does not get updated. If I submit the update from the Clamwin Icon in the taskbar, the lof gets updated. I hope this all helps.

Alch,

By the way, the following is the code I am entering in to this deep freeze software. I am not even sure if this is correct, exspecially were the Quotes are!

freshclam --datadir="c:\documents and settings\all users\.clamwin\db" --config-file="c:\program files\clamwin\freshclam.conf" --UpdateLogFile="c:\documents and settings\all users\.clamwin\log\clamupdatelog.txt"

Hi,

Ok via the windows cmd prompt and executing Freshclam I am not able to get the LOG File updated. It seems my Directive needed to be changed from Logfileupdate TO log.
