Welcome to the ClamWin Forum! ClamWin is best used as a backup scanner to a real-time scanner because it scans only when you tell it to or when it is scheduled to scan. It does not scan in real-time.

The Windows Defender antivirus program comes free with Windows computers. It is a good AV scanner for personal use, and it can be used by businesses on up to 10 computers. It is freely available as Security Essentials for older computers. I also like the Forticlient AV program from Fortinet which is available for both personal and business use. There are lots of other free AVs, but most of them are not available for business use.
