Hi there!
I am thinking in translations for Portuguese Brasilian first and after then improve solutions in Clamwin...
I am tunning the VirtualBox for it. Ok? What Virtualization system is most used for us? Parallels, VirtualBox or the others?
What Carrefulls are needed?
No Bridge, No Nat networks. Ok?
- OS XP, 7 or 8?
What more for safety environment is needed?
What the tools is needed for development?
I know basis in C++,QT and Python.

Idea

Thanks!

I think you can contact the ClamWin developers via either alch or sheprya @users.sourceforge.net per the About menu item on the ClamWin Help menu. ClamWin is written in C++ and Python, but they really need to eliminate the Python dependency for better use with Windows. Some development work was done in C#, but nothing came of it.

ClamWin uses the Clam AV scan engine for Linux servers, which the ClamWin developers port over to Windows. All virus signatures used by ClamWin are prepared by the Clam AV (now Sourcefire) people, which still maintain Clam AV as a free, open source project. ClamWin gets the signatures when Clam releases them.

Most AV signatures are now prepared automatically since there are so many viruses out, and more are coming!
My favorite VM was Virtual Box, which I found easier to use than any other VM. I found virtual machines to be too restrictive, however, and I do not use one now. Many viruses can tell when they are in a VM or sandbox and will not execute there. Most viruses are now changed very often to avoid AV detection, and it usually best to just get a quick signature for a hash or a string and not spend much time on analyzing them--since there will be a new version out the next day. It can take a week (or longer) to analyze some viruses, and you could prepare 200 quick signatures in that time. You might want to analyze a polymorphic virus, however--like ZAccess. I have Sandbox IE on my computer, but I mostly use Anubis online for sandbox analysis.

Ok.

I will try this VM alternatives... I like VirtualBox too but have this inconveniences...
I will try source forge...with new versions...
I think that Python is much more flexible language but much more slow for that performance anti-virus needs too.
I Think that the QT and Necessitas(qt for Android) is better perspective than C#.

Regards.,

Thank you GuitarBob!

The global Video Game Industry is expected to climb to $55.6 billion
by 2008 with more than $9 billion of that spending attributed to North
America. What was once seen as a niche market for a small demographic
is now the fastest growing sector in the entertainment industry.

Contact the ClamWin developers from the main ClamWin web page. they will tell you about the translation process. Also mention that you are a programmer--you may be able to help them some more.
