Below is the error message i get when i click on Help, About Clamwin, within my Outlook. Is Clamwin working? Why does this error message come up? How do I fix it? I don't see any other buttons in my Outlook that tells me Clamwin is integrated with my Outlook. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance.

I get the same error message in XP Pro SP3 and Outlook 2003.
Is ClamWin integrated, or not?
Is ClamWin checking email, or not? It does give the flash screen on Outlook Startup. But, from that point, who knows?

Hello,
Since Clamwin is an on demand scanner it is still not recognised by windows Security Center; this will be solved once the real time feature will be implemented (though no expected release date is scheduled right now). Therefore you should use Clamwin as a backup av and have a resident (=real time) av installed. Amongst free ones you may choose Avira Antivir, AVG free, Avast (all free for personal, non commercial use). You may install one of them beside Clamwin (no conflicts will arise as Clamwin is not resident up to now); don't install two or more real time av tools on same machine, thus to avoid conflict between them.

This topic is really old and from 2008. I am sure the OP has solved his issue, by now. If you have any questions or comments, you should open up a new topic.

RRK: Note that the poster just signed up today, this is his/her first post, it really is not informative to ClamWin users of the forum, and it does not have any inquiry about ClamWin. I could be wrong, but all these add up to a potential spammer to me--just trying to break the door down. They will often comment in an old post.

I wasn't for sure if it was or not a spammer since he was talking about ClamWin being an on-demand scanner and how the OP asked if it was integrated into action center, which this user answered for him. That's why I just replied back to it to see if he/she would reply back.

There's a FAQ about the Action Center, and there's been a long-time warning on the main ClamWin page that ClamWin is an on-demand scanner only. Of course, many users probably wouldn't go to the trouble to check FAQ/main page links, so maybe you could stretch it and say the post contains something useful.
