I have recently installed Clamwin 0.97.5. Seems to be working fine and doing its job nicely. However the Win7 action center messaging feature (see the attached screen grab image)
http://postimage.org/image/3u1q3vkon/ continues to advise me that I need a virus scanning software installed.
What can I do to advise Win7 that Clamwin is installed and operating??

Regards

Welcome to ClamWin! ClamWin developer is from your area.

You get Action Center warnings because Clamwin isn't integrated with the Windows Action Center. If the warnings annoy you, you can just disable messages related to it. However, ClamWin is not a real-time scanner. It is an on-demand scanner that only scans when you do a manual scan or a scheduled scan. Because of this, you are not protected by ClamWin when you surf the web. You should have a real-time scanner and use ClamWin as backup. There are several good free versions of commercial scanners, such as Avast, Avira AntiVir, and Microsoft Security Essentials. There is also the free Clam Sentinel program which lets you use ClamWin as a real-time scanner and also has its own heuristic engine that scans for malware that doesn't have a ClamWin signature.
