Cannot download Virus database for 0.97.2

Whenever I try to download the virus database, the following messages appear:

ClamAV update process started at Wed Sep 21 15:25:00 2011

I haven't been able to use ClamAV since installation. Is it because of wrong proxy settings? If so how do I instruct the Antivirus to use the right proxy? Please help. Crying or Very sad

If you use a proxy to contact the internet, there is a ClamWin proxy configuration tab you need to bring up and fill out. You can probably get the information needed from your provider.

If this doesn't apply to you, you might try deleting all files in the ClamWin database folder and then do a manual update. That often fixes things.

I am having exactly the same problem, with ClaimWin 0.97.2 and XP. After installing the program, updates worked between Sept 19 and Sept 24. Starting Sept 25 all updating attempts failed:

I don't know if this is related, but I did some Googling, and there were some reports of DNS problems around Sept. 25th. Other than that, all I can suggest is to make sure internet updates are enabled, ClamWin is enabled in firewall, any changes needed to new router/isp, ClamWin configured for proxy if applicable, and check hosts file to make sure ClamWin isn't resolved to local machine.
